Olayemi Victoria Aworetan

Olayemi Victoria Aworetan is a customer experience and service leader whose career spans education, administration, human resources, real estate, sales, marketing and banking. She currently serves as Group Head, Client Services at Sterling Bank, providing strategic leadership across customer interaction channels serving Retail, Corporate and High Net-Worth clients.

Professional Journey

Olayemi began her professional journey in 2007 as a secondary school teacher and House Mistress at Lead City High School, Ibadan. During her time at the school, she received the Best Teacher Award for seven consecutive years before relocating to Lagos.

In 2014, she joined Ronchess Global Resources Limited, a road-marking and construction firm, as Administrative Manager. Her consistency, competence and leadership potential led to additional responsibility as Human Resource Manager, a dual role she discharged over a two-year period.

Between 2017 and 2019, Olayemi transitioned into the real estate sector. She served as Head of Administration at CMB Building Limited before moving into Sales and Marketing, where she recorded sales exceeding ₦900 million within seven months.

She joined Sterling Bank in 2019 as Lead, Priority Customer Service Desk and subsequently became Team Lead, Card Experience Management for Private Banking clients. Her progression culminated in her appointment as Head of Customer Care in 2021 and, subsequently, Group Head, Client Services.

Leadership & Customer Experience

Olayemi provides strategic leadership for Sterling Bank’s Client Services Group, comprising more than 250 employees across multiple interaction channels. Her work focuses on service excellence, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and the alignment of customer experience strategy with broader business objectives.

Service Innovation

Her work has included technology-enabled service initiatives such as WhatsApp and in-app support channels and an AI-enabled email support solution designed to improve service delivery, turnaround time, operational efficiency and contact-centre modernisation.

Performance & Impact

Her leadership has contributed to stronger customer loyalty and advocacy, alongside Sterling Bank’s 1st-place Retail Banking performance in the KPMG 2025 Customer Experience Survey.

Leadership Philosophy

Beyond operational performance, Olayemi is a mentor and people-focused leader who places emphasis on empathy, discipline, purpose and the development of the people she leads.

Beyond Work

Outside her professional responsibilities, Olayemi enjoys spending time with her nieces, dancing and exploring food. She also has a light-hearted ambition to experience driving a Formula 1 race car with Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen alongside her.

Her faith is an important part of her personal outlook and informs her commitment to purpose, service and positive impact.
