Professional Standards at CISCSM
Professional recognition should reflect more than a title. It should be supported by relevant knowledge, applied competence, ethical behaviour, customer responsibility and continuing professional development.
Professional Competence
Members and practitioners should maintain knowledge and capability appropriate to their responsibilities.
Ethical Practice
Professional judgement should be exercised with integrity, fairness and respect for customers and stakeholders.
Customer Responsibility
Commercial objectives should be pursued alongside responsible customer treatment and sustainable relationships.
Continuous Development
Professionals should keep learning, reflecting and improving as markets, technology and customer expectations change.
Relationship to Membership
Experience Route assessment considers relevant experience, qualifications, responsibility, competence and professional standing. Membership grades should therefore be understood as professional recognition linked to demonstrated career level, not simply as purchased titles.
